Feb 2008 Parenting with Love and Logic to be offered again The Love and Logic classes offered in the fall were well attended, with 12 parents benefiting from the wise words of authors Jim Fay and Charles Fay. The Love and Logic program employs practical techniques to help parents change their relationships with their children and take control in their homes in an empathetic and loving manner. The program emphasizes the importance of allowing children to take responsibility for their mistakes, and helps parents learn how to effectively hold them accountable. We often want to rescue our children from their mistakes in an effort to keep them happy, and this program helps us to recognize that mistakes are opportunities for growth; lessons learned while in the protective environment of home are certainly more cost effective than lessons learned while out in the real world! It is important to provide our children with opportunities for decision-making so that they are ready to succeed when they venture out on their own. In March, we will be offering another session of "Parenting with Love and Logic, Teaching your Children Responsibility." Come join us and make an invaluable investment in your family's future!
