On January 21 Jay Starr Habibyar of the Utica Chapter of the American Red Cross gave a presentation on Haiti to the Upper Mohawk Valley chapter of United Nations Association's meeting. From the impressions gained during this evening J Smith, president of the Model UN team, joined with M Perrin, president of the Student Council at Waterville Senior High School, to conduct as part of the WCS "Spirit Week" campaigned to raise money for the Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. |

WCS immediately invited Jay Starr Habibyar to come Thursday February 11 and present her powerpoint on the Red Cross's activities in Haiti. This was a tremendous success. By Friday the total money counted from the students, faculty, and community was $1489.32. |
