Lifting

I think that some of you are starting to get a little discouraged that we are riding you so hard to get in the weight room. Make no mistake about it, our presence as a team in there has been little. You cannot obtain the rewards of the game without putting the time in during the off season to make yourself and our team better. If you are to ask any player who has given a true effort over the past 8 weeks, they will tell you off the differences that they are feeling already....and this feeling is contageous, but we need you guys to come through, not for us, but for yourselves and for this team. I think that the time has come for some of you to look at yourselves and ask "What have I done to better myself". If you cannot answer that question, then you are not ready, but fear not.....it is not too late. For some of you, this will be the last time that you strap on the pads, how will you want to be remembered at Waterville? For others what a great opportunity you have to step it up and simply win a position. There are no positions "reserved" for anyone, each position will be earned. Therefore I urge each of you to help yourself and your team, and GET THE JOB DONE IN 2004!!

NEW YEAR
Posted on 01/05/2004 by Coach K Reply to this Message[Reply to this message]
We are BACK....and for those of you who have had the itch to get back in the weight room, let's get after it....for those of you who have still not stepped it up, we are looking for a few more of you to become leaders and show your team what it is going to take not only to be better, but to be great. It takes hard work, and extreme dedication to get this team back to the level of play that it should be at, but we need YOU, NOW, more than ever. Always remember that the season is won and lost in the off season and it is not too late to get yourself and your team prepared, we have the potential to be great, but potential means nothing....we simply need to get the job done. Lets make the year of 2004 the greatest year for Waterville football, there is no reason to dwell on the past, only to focus on what lies ahead....that being nothing short of GREATNESS.

Hope everyone has a great holiday. For the players that have been in the weight room, congrats on your success. For the players that have yet made the commitment, it is not to late. When we all come back from break, lets start the year off the right way. Next season has already started, so lets work together to make things happen. No more talk, Just action.

Break
Posted on 12/19/2003 by Coach K Reply to this Message[Reply to this message]
Have a great break - be sure to work hard - do not take your focus off of the goal that we are looking to achieve. Maintain your strength while allowing yourself to recooperate over the break, and lets come back into the next year with a single purpose and a winning goal. Those of you who have faithfully given it your all - we are proud of you all - others must follow by example - we need EVERYONE to give it their all so that we can forget about potential and focus more on getting the job done. If you are one of these MEN, we are honored and proud to have you with us. Let's get the job done in 2004.

Football Meeting

If you missed the meeting, you should see a coach to find out what was talked about. Some players that missed did see the coaches but some didn't. Whoever missed, we will be waiting to hear from you.
