Answers
1)  Q What is Model United Nations?
A
Model United Nations (also Model UN or MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations that aims to educate participants about civics, effective communication, globalization and multilateral diplomacy.
2)  Q What is the dress code for Model United Nations?
A
For conferences, the Model UN dress code adheres to professional business attire guidelines. All clothing must adhere to guidelines that portray professionalism and modesty. International delegates in whose native countries traditional cultural dress is appropriate may dress in "professional business dress". These delegates are the only individuals to whom this applies. Any delegate attempting to use cultural costume to portray a "character" will be asked to leave the committee chamber and change into clothing that is more appropriate. If a delegate's attire is deemed inappropriate by the MUN staff the delegate will be asked to leave the session and return with the appropriate attire. Also, note that it is inappropriate for delegates to display any national symbols such as flags, pins, crests, etc. on their person during committee sessions. UN symbols, however, are acceptable.
3)  Q What significance does MUN have on me?
A
Delegates participating in MUN encounter many tasks and problems that our United Nations do every day. Each committee a delegate participates in focuses on the different problems. MUN allows students to speak out about the problem by representing a Nation or country, allowing them to get into a deep understanding of the different veiwpoints of the world.
