Octagon Club

The Octagon club is the high school version of an Optimist Club.  The motto for an Optimist Club is "Friend of Youth." The motto for an Octagon club is "Kids Helping Kids." Some of the service projects performed by our Octagon Club have been: Adopt a family at Christmas, Bike-a-thons for Tory Joy and JoAnne Ashforth, coat drives, Bowl-a-thons to benefit children's cancer fund, dinner at Hope House, and coin collecting for special needs. Students have also participated at leadership training in Atlanta, Detroit, Toronto, and Reno. They also assist the Brothertown Optimist Club at many functions including bottle drives and refreshment sales during sporting events.

An annual service project undertaken every year by the Waterville Octagon Club is the Haunted Bus Project at Memorial Park School on Halloween.
